Herman Lee Fisher was born Aug. 21, 1919, at Mountain View, Mo., the son of William and Minerva (Roberts) Fisher. He passed away July 15, 2009, at Birch Tree, Mo., at the age of 89 years. He was united in marriage to Beatrice McCarty on Sept. 6, 1942, and to this union, six children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Minerva Fisher; wife, Beatrice Fisher; one son-in-law, Frankie Allen; three brothers, Frank, Henry, and Jess; and two sisters, Irene and Minnie. He is survived by three sons, Harold Lee Fisher and wife Linda of Alma, Ark., Lonnie Ray Fisher and wife Patricia of Las Vegas, Nev., and Eddie Dean Fisher and wife Delores of McAlester, Okla.; three daughters, Geneva "Sis" Allen of Mountain View, Mo., Leona Marie Martin and husband Samuel "Andy" of Winona, Mo., and Shelia Renee Johnson and husband Brett of Fremont, Mo.; two brothers, Paul Fisher and wife Ellen of Winona, Mo., and Bob Fisher and wife Linda of Winona, Mo.; two sisters, Rosa Lee Vermillion of Winona, Mo., and Ruby Fisher of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; and a host of family and friends. Herman served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 18, 2009, at the Duncan Funeral Chapel in Winona, Mo., with Rev. Rodney Gene Fisher officiating. Interment was in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mountain View, Mo., under the direction of Duncan Funeral Home Winona, Mo.
