BESSIE PLUMLEY
GREER - Bessie Brower Plumley, 77, of Route 6, widow of Benjamin Plumley, died Friday.
A native of Iowa, she was a retired textile employee and a Quaker.
Surviving are daughters, Mary Nordquist and Ruth Lynn of Greer, Helen Pittman of Taylors and Jeanne Black of Goldsboro, N.C.; sons, Glenn Plumley of Logensport, Ind., Wayne Plumley of Seattle, Wash., and John Dean Plumley of Landrum; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wood Mortuary; burial in Landrum Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7 - 9 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary, but is at the home of a daughter, Ruth Lynn, 1388 W. Hampton Blvd.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
