Mrs. Clarence Gallant
former winder

Mrs. Ada (Taylor) Gallant, 47, wife of Clarence E. Gallant, 172 Andover St., died today at Bon Secours hospital after a long illness.

She was born in Lawrence, Sept. 11, 1926, and worked as a winder at the former Monomac and Wood Mills. Mrs. gallant was a member of St. Patrick's Parish.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Robert and Joseph, a sixth grade student at Salem Street School; two daughters, Mary, a fourth grade student at the Breen School, and Eleanor; her mother, Ada (Robinson) Taylor, all of Lawrence; a brother, Alfred Taylor of Petersburg, Fla.; and two sisters, Doris, wife of Walker Owens of Torrence, Calif., and Grace, wife of Francis Delaney of Haverhill.

A funeral Mass will be offered Monday at 9 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, North Andover.

Calling hours are Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the John J. Hart Jr. Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway.
