MAYODAN, NC ~ Melanie Dawn Wilson Collins, 30, of Beaver Creek Road, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Clearview Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born in Rockingham County, Melanie was the daughter of Thelma Mays Wilson and the late Vernon Ray Wilson.
She attended North Stokes High School and was employed at Custom Screens, Inc. She will be remembered for her caring nature and beautiful smile.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Leroy Collins.
Survivors include her husband, Dwight Collins; daughter Brittany Renae Webster both of Mayodan; mother, Thelma Mays Wilson; brothers, Vernon Ray (Lesa) Wilson, Jr., Donnie Wilson; sister Ronda (Eddie) Fulcher all of Sandy Ridge; niece, Danielle Wilson and nephews, Carl Wilson and Brian Fulcher and mother-in-law, Gaynelle Joyce Collins of Mayodan.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Colonial Funeral Home and all other times at the residence.
