Following a week's illness with pneumonia, Thomas C. Brenchley, 65, died today at his home in Wellsville.
He was born April 1, 1878, in Wellsville, a son of Richard and Mary Clegg Brenchley. In 1900 he married Laura Hall; she died in 1903. Four years later he married Catherine Stoddard.
Mr. Brenchley was father of eight children, seven of whom survive: Mrs. Mabel Pettit and Mrs. Edith Stephens of Ogden; Mrs. Laura McCollum of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Denise Hammon of Roy; Mrs. Elaine Leavitt of Mesa, Ariz.; Thomas S. Brenchley of Playa Del Rey, Calif.; and Corporal Len S. Brenchley of Camp Abbott, Ore.
Surviving also are 15 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Carrie Lewis of Los Angeles; and three brothers, William C., John, and Joseph Brenchley of Wellsville.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Thompson Funeral Home of Hyrum.
