MRS. AMELIA VOSS DIES AT AGE OF 67

MILLARD PIONEER HAD LEFT A.A. JENSEN HOME THREE DAYS BEFORE

Stricken suddenly with paralysis, Mrs. Amelia Voss, 67 years old, died Tuesday at the home of her son, John Voss, one and one-half miles south of Millard, after a brief illness.

Mrs. Voss, who was the mother of Henry Voss of Blair and Mrs. Albert A. Jensen, also of this city. From about January 1st of this year until the Saturday preceding her death she had made her home with the Jensens and had departed for a visit with her son. While her health had not been good, her condition was not considered dangerous.

Mrs. Voss had lived on the farm near Millard for 35 years and had been a resident of the Millard vicinity for 50 years.

Surviving are the sons, John and henry, the daughter, Mrs. Jensen, four brothers and 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Friday at the Voss residence and at St. Paul Lutheran church in Millard. Burial will be in the Voss Cemetery near Millard. A number from Blair plan to attend the rites.

WIDOW OF JOHN VOSS DIES AT FARM HOME

Mrs. Amelia Voss, 67, widow of John Voss and resident of Douglas county for more than 50 years, died suddenly Tuesday morning at the home of her son, John Voss, a mile and a half south of Millard. Mrs. Voss had lived in the Voss home there for 35 years.

She leaves another son, Henry of this city; four brothers, Ernest Brandt of Sarpy county; Hans of Imperial, Neb.; Frank and Charles of Watongo, Okla.; a daughter, Mrs. Marie Jensen of Blair, wife of A. A. Jensen; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the residence, to St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Millard at 2. Burial will be in the Voss cemetery at Millard.
