Plain City – Angelina Violetta (Viola) Aimone Palmer, 101, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother passed away June 11, 2009.

She was born January 11, 1908, the second of eight children in Eureka, Nevada to Pietro and Josephina Aimone. Her parents emigrated from Torino, Italy in 1904.

She married Vern L. Palmer on November 29, 1924 in Reno, Nevada; they were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on March 25, 1955. They moved to Plain City December 23, 1924 where she has resided ever since.

She became a member of the LDS Church when her son Kenneth was baptized on October 1, 1933. She held many positions in Primary, Young Women and Relief Society.

Her family was the most important part of her life. She loved to cook and taught her daughter's her cooking skills. The grandchildren loved her poached eggs on toast and her wonderful home made apple pie.

She had many hobbies. She loved working in her flower garden; she especially loved crocheting afghans and bedspreads. She has given afghans to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She crocheted an afghan for her grandson when she was 95 years old. She also made those great hats out of aluminum cans.

One of the highlights of her life was her 100th birthday. Her family and friends came from near and far to help her celebrate. What a great party it was.

Preceded in death by her husband Vern L. Palmer; son Kenneth F. Palmer; daughter Dorlene Miller; son-in-law Roy U. Miller and a grandson Mark Miller.
