JOHN HENRY SHARKEY

John Henry Sharkey, son of Placid Sharkey, died at his home two and one-half miles north of Momence, October 10th at 4 a.m. from influenza followed by pneumonia, after an illness of one week.

He was born March 1st, 1902 and was 16 years 7 months and 10 days old at the time of his death.

Previous to his illness, he was employed by Paul Saindon, and was a very industrious boy.

The deceased was quiet and unassuming of character and has numerous friends who greviously mourns his departure.

He leaves to mourn his father, six brothers, four sisters, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his departure.

Funeral services were held from his home at 10 o'clock Saturday morning, conducted by Rev. J.W. Harnly pastor of the Baptist church.

Burial took place at Momence cemetery.

Placid Sharkey and family desire to express their gratitude to their friends and to all those who by words or deeds, for expressions of sympathy in our hour of sorrow, when death entered our home and robbed us of our two sons and brothers. Also for the floral offerings sent by friends.
