Alta was born January 31, 1930 to Elton E. and Isabell Bills in Herriman, Utah.
She married Grant Maynard on October 30, 1948. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Alta was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many positions. She loved sewing, crocheting, quilting, gardening, and spending time with her family. She had many special friends through club and winters in Arizona. She also worked in electronics for many years. Alta will be missed by her family and friends. We love you.
She is survived by her loving husband Grant, four daughters: Madge Lloyd (Ross), JoLayne Stocking (Craig), Trudy Gardiner (Duane), Geralyn Christensen (Kevin), 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, brothers: Thomas, Ray, Brent, Earl, Dennis, and Byron Bills, sisters: Beth Richter and Verlaine Barrela. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Lionel Bills.
Funeral Services will be held in the Riverton First Ward Chapel, 12998 South 1350 West, at 1:00 p.m. on July 31, 2009, where friends may call on Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Church and on Friday one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Riverton City Cemetery.
