Bertha Irene Barton was born at Brunswick, Antelope County, Nebraska in 1896, a daughter of Henry Hascal/Haskill Barton and Edith Exelia LaBranch. Her parents were both born in Wisconsin, then moved to Nebraska. Bertha was the first of ten children, she had six sisters and three brothers. My mother, Bessie Marie (Barton) Wulf, was the ninth. Bertha married August Victor Spute at Neligh, Antelope County, NE on November 20, 1912. (Apparently there is no grave marker)
