Cherokee Times, August 29, 1912: Myra Dunn, aged 12 years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Dunn of Afton, died at the hospital in Storm Lake August 25, 1912, of Pott's Disease. The funeral took place at the Afton M.E. Church with Rev. Mack having charge of the services. The little girl suffered a great deal but was very patient. She leaves a large circle of friends to mourn her death also her father, mother, brothers and sisters.
