R.S. Barrington, Life-Long
Resident of Webster
Dies Thursday

R.S. Barrington, age 66, a life long resident of Webster parish, was suddenly taken ill Thursday afternoon while working in his garden and died only a few hours later from heart trouble, death coming about 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
Mr. Barrington was born and reared at Pine Grove community about six miles northeast of Minden, where he lived until he moved to Minden about twenty years ago. He was a successful farmer and well thought of among those who knew him. He was said to have not been a member of the church but Mr. Barrington, himself, stated that he had joined the church when he was real small, and no one really paid any attention to the fact, since he was so small, when he was converted.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Pine Grove cemetery at 2 p.m. with the Rev. H.E. Kirkpatrick officiating.
The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. R.S. Barrington who resides on the Lewisville road, three daughters, Mrs. Drew Dial, Mrs. R.L. Cummings and Miss Juanita Barrington, all of this city; two sons, J.D. Barrington, of Oklahoma City, and Bobby Barrington, of this city, and one half brother, Turner Barrington.
