Was born September 18, 1922 in Blackwell, OK to Nathan and Edith Irby Walker Brown. She passed away June 22nd in Lawton, OK. She was 87.
As an infant, she moved with her family to a farm near Apache, OK where she grew up and graduated from Apache High School. As a young girl, she and her identical twin sister, Claudine, enjoyed dressing alike and singing duets in the Methodist Church. Her older sister, the late LaVelle Walker Lattimore, lived in Kingfisher, OK.
Imogene attended Nursing school at the Western Oklahoma Charity Hospital in Clinton, OK. She met and at the age of 21, married Clayton Frank Alexander, Sr. on November 27, 1943 in Waurika, OK. They had one son, Clayton Frank Alexander, Jr. and lived on the Alexander family farm near Broxton, OK for over twenty years and later moved to Anadarko, OK.
As a Registered Nurse, Imogene's nursing career spanned from the Neonatal Unit at Wichita Falls, TX Hospital to Anadarko Hospital, the County Health Department and later years at Silver Crest Nursing Center. In 1997, Imogene moved with her husband Clayton to The Village on Lee Retirement Center in Lawton, OK.
Imogene grew up in the First United Methodist Church in Apache where she sang in the choir and was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the United Methodist Women. Later, she attended the United Methodist Church in Anadarko. Imogene was an avid reader and also enjoyed being a part of the Sewing Club in Apache as well as the Federated Club.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 24 at 10:30 A.M. at Fairview Cemetery in Apache, OK with Rev. Michael Dye officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Crews Funeral Home of Apache.
