OBITUARY----October 1925

GOOD WOMAN LAID TO REST
Della E. Robison was born in Howell township on November 4, 1868 and shortly thereafter came with her parents to Fowlerville where she resided the balance of her life.

In 1883 she was married to Henry Fields who preceded her to the Great Beyond June 20, 1895. To this union a son, Earl, was born.

For a few years after the death of her husband she lived with her mother, and on May 1898 she was married to Edward Fields of Fowlerville, who still survives, and to this union a daughter, Irene was born in September 1903.

In early youth she united with the M.E. church and was always an ardent and conscientious worker in all church activities. She was a teacher of a class of girls in Sunday school for many years and also a member of the M.E. Church choir.

She was always ready and willing to do what she could for humanity. And was never known to shirk any task when she could be of any assistance to others, always looking out for the good of those who were sick or unfortunate and her cheery smile and loving ways, won for her friends without number.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in which she took an active part and in which she held several important offices.

In her long illness she was never heard to complain, but bore all her suffering only as one who has perfect confidence in her Heavenly Father, could do, always looking for the best and offering words of encouragement, even to those who were visiting her.

About one week ago it was seen that a sudden change had taken place and on Wednesday morning September 30, she passed quietly into that Haven of Rest, from which no traveler returns. Leaving to mourn her loss, a loving husband: one son Earl of Grand Ledge; one daughter Irene McKenzie of Fowlerville; her aged mother Mrs. Robison of Fowlerville; two sisters Mrs. Geo. Newman of Fowlerville and Mrs. Geo. W. Leedle of Marshall; besides several nieces and nephews and many loving friends who will cherish her memory for years to come.

The funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. L. H. Stevens, the Order of Eastern Star being present in a body.
