GATES -- H. A. 'Jack' Scallions, 91, retired farmer, died Tuesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Garner Funeral Home in Ripley with burial in Concord Cemetery here. Mr. Scallions, the husband of Rachel Leggett Scallions, also leaves a daughter, Doris Evelyn Hill of Ripley; two sons, D. A. Scallions of Gates and Jack Scallions of Athens, nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
