Alba arrived in Plymouth from Orford in 1862. He married 1st, on January 25, 1844, Almeda Andruss and married 2nd, on October 5, 1866, Phebe A Coburn of Holderness. In 1873 he removed to that town and about 1882 he went to California and died is Tolt, now Carnation, Washington. Carnation was officially incorporated on December 31, 1912, as Tolt. The name was changed to Carnation in 1917, back to Tolt on May 3, 1928, and finally back to Carnation again on October 29, 1951.

•Ashley who was born August 21, 1852 and died April 28, 1854.
•Byron who was born September 7, 1855 in Vermont. He married, on April 17, 1879, Susan Masterson Doe who was born in New Hampton, NH in 1861. She is the daughter of Alonzo W Doe. They lived in Plymouth until 1882.
•Azro G who was born March 9, 1858 in Vermont and died January 16, 1929 in Sacramento, California. He married in Montpelier, VT on May 17, 1890, Emma E Burns. He was an engineer, æ 32 and she was a housekeeper æ 17. Emma was born in Quebec. They were married by Reverend A J Hough of Montpelier.
