Justen A. "Jay" Justesen, 80, passed away May 12, 1992, in a Salt Lake City hospital.

Born September 22, 1911, in Garland, Utah, to Peter Antoine and Mary Owens Justesen. Married Virginia Hansen, Dec. 16, 1931; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death, as did four brothers and four sisters. Married Jane Ekblad, Jan. 4, 1987. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather. An avid golfer. Member LDS Church. Served as temple worker in the Jordan LDS Temple. Held positions in the MIA, Sunday School and Bishopric. Retired from Kennecott Copper Corp, 1975, after 30 years.

Survived by his wife; son, Donald and wife, Carol, Price; stepson, Paul and wife, Carol Ekblad; stepdaughters, Susan and Robert Gourley, Diane and Clair Brotherson; brother, Dick Justesen; four grandchildren, Brad, Bryce, David and Lisa Henderson; 16 great-grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren.

Funeral services Friday, 12 noon, Spencer Fourth Ward, 8181 West 3320 South. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m., Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, and Friday 11-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
