OBITUARY
STAMPER- JAMES L., Stamper, in stature, physique and the grace of God was like Zacchaeus. Following the line of Pious progenitors, he professed faith in Christ early in his life and was faithful unto death. He was ever loyal to his church and to its pastors. He contributed $500 to the building of the new church at Clifton Hill and the first funeral from it was his. Three former pastors were present, B. F. Heaton preached the sermon. Six nephews were pall bearers. He was honored, missed and mourned by his brethren. He died near the age of seventy years. S.Y. Pitts.
