The services was conducted by the Rev. Howard Ray and burial was in Maple Cemetery with H.S. Smith Funeral Home in charge.
He was born at Success, Ark., September 19, 1908, the son of A.J. and Ina Hooker. The family moved to Pemiscot County 51 years ago.
In Caruthersville, on August 14, 1937, he was married to Miss Edna Mae Dodd, sho survives.
He also leaves two sons, Henry Paul Hooker Jr. of St. Louis and James T. Hooker of Festus, Mo.; five daughters, Miss Sandra Hooker, Mrs. Brenda Lott, Mrs. Barbara Wood and Mrs. Sheila Brown, all of Caruthersville, and Mrs. Wanda Proctor of Route 3, Steele; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hooker of Hayti; two brothers, Johnny Hooker of Shaw, Miss. and E.J. Hooker of Bland, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Eula Long of Weldon, Calif. and fiteen grandchildren.
