Athens- Rites for Walter H. Echols, 79, Anderson, who died Saturday at 12:40 a.m. at Jackson Hospital in Lester, will be today at 2 p.m. from the Bethel Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with McConnell Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. W.H. Echols, Anderson; three daughters, Mrs. Rossie Cates, Anderson 1; Mrs. Stella Stark, Athens; Mrs. Laurene Whitehead, Anderson; three sons, Dewey, Arland and Osborn Echols, Anderson; one sister, Mrs. Vera Vaughan, Ft. Smith, Ark.; two brothers, Roy Echols, Ft. Smith, Ark.; Richard Echols, Ryan, Okla.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
