Funeral services for Charles Don Pickens, 30, of Deering, who died October 27th at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital, were held November 1st at the Jimmy Osburn Funeral Home in Hayti with the Rev. M.L. Waldrop officiating. Burial was in Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville.
He was born March 22, 1944 in Braggadocio, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ward Pickens. He married the former Miss Sharon Kay Hayes April 12, 1964, in Steele.
Survivors include his wife; his parents of Benton Harbor, Mich.; one son, Charles Bradley Pickens of Deering; two daughters, Danna Kay and Cindy Jo Pickens, both of Deering; one brother, James Edward Pickens of Benton Harbor, Mich.; and one sister, Donna Sue Crain of Braggadocio.
Pallbearers were Gary Coppage, Lewis Lafferty, Joe Crain, Jerry Don Mansfield, William Walker, and Glen Cannon.
