Geneva Bradley Abelard, 89, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2003. She was born on October 8, 1913 in El Paso, TX. She married Aaron Abelard in 1939, who preceded her in death in 1983. They moved to Lakewood, CO. in 1946. Geneva was a supportive wife and loving mother. Aaron and Geneva were truly soul mates. They were devoted to one another and until his death in 1983, were rarely separated. Geneva leaves behind one son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Ruth Abelard of Indianapolis and their three children; Aaron, Megan and Amanda Abelard; and one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Mike Routledge of Oklahoma City, OK. She also leaves behind many additional loved ones and friends. She was known for her quick wit and interest in current events. She was an avid Bridge player and member of the Lakewood Ladies Club. She attended the University of New Mexico and San Angelo Junior College. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. She enjoyed studying Spanish at Red Rocks College in her later years. She had recently moved to Indianapolis to be near her family. Geneva will truly be missed. Her family feels blessed by all the people who were involved in her life and the care she was shown. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, with a Memorial service following at 7 p.m. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver, CO.
