Teutopolis - Mrs. Henry (Clara Rose Wente) Zerrusen, 86, of Teutopolis died 7:05 p.m. Tuesday (July 7, 1987) in St. Anthony Memorial Hospital, Effingham. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in St. Francis Catholic Church, Teutopolis. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Bauer Funeral Home, Teutopolis, with sodality rosary at 4 p.m. and parish rosary at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Zerrusen was born in Lillyville, daughter of Henry and Mary Wente. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, St. Ann's Altar Sodality and the third Order of St. Francis. She married Tony Thoele. He died in 1945. She married Henry Zerrusen in 1948. He died in 1977.
Surviving are her stepsons, Norbert Zerrusen and Gerald Zerrusen, both of Teutopolis; stepdaughters, Junavere "June" Zerrusen of Teutopolis; Betty Ann Scmidlin of Lafayette, Ind.; Jeanette Westendorf of Teutopolis; 34 step grandchildren; 27 great-step-grandchildren.
One stepdaughter, four brothers, two half-brothers, three half-sisters, one step grandchild and two great-step grandchildren preceded her in death.
