Mr. Savage began his career with the former Rehoboth Dairy where held the postions of milk processor and as a field delivery driver from farm to dairy. He later became a custodian for the Rehoboth Elementary and Jr. High Schools, retiring in 1994 after 37 years service. Mr. Savage was a volunteer fireman for the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Department for over 54 years.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Lee Kelly Savage; his son, Bob Savage of Milford; daughter, Dotti Neske of Long Neck; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great- great-grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandsons.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, with the Pastor Charles Arnold officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, at the funeral home, Interment with firemans honors will be in Epworth Methodist Cemetery, Rehoboth Beach.
