J. C. Hargis passed away at the home of his son, Rev. T. C. Hargis, Thursday at 1 a. m. Mr. Hargis was 80 years of age.
He leaves his aged wife, one son and one daughter.
Short funeral services were held at the parsonage Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Joseph Penn, and the remains were taken on the evening train to Fayette, Mo., where further funeral services were held and burial made. Rev. Mr. Hargis and family and Grandma Hargis accompanied the remains.
