She was my Great Grandother and the daughter of Martin Moss and Nancy Dooley. She was the wife of William David Cardwell, they were married March 2, 1879 in Missouri. They had seven children, Annie Cardwell-Williams, born on October 1882 in Missouri, married Joseph W Williams; Orpha Ura Cardwell-Schaffer, born on February 27, 1886 in Missouri (my mother's namesake), married Charles W Schaffer; Grace Malinda Cardwell-Blackstun-Smith(my Grandmother) born on February 8, 1890 in Dearborn, Platte Co., Missouri and died on April 3, 1939 in Fort Morgan, Morgan Co., Colorado; Thomas Brooks Cardwell, born on June 5, 1887 in Dearborn, Platte Co.,Missouri, died July 24, 1948 in St Joseph, Buchanan Co., Missouri, married Clara W Taulbee; Alice L Cardwell-Moffett, born January 1895 in Missouri, married Ollie Lee Moffett; Della Cardwell born on July 1, 1897 in Missouri, husband name was Samuel; Verna Bernice Cardwell born abt 1902 in Missouri.
