Mrs. Gertrude V. Boone, 81, died at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Mo. on April 5, 1989.
Daughter of the late Rube Elliott and Bessie Lee Berryman Elliott, she was born in Cherokee, Ala. on January 25, 1908. She attended the Gibson Bayou School.
On June 21, 1962 in Caruthersville, Mo. she was united in marriage to Rufe Boone.
She leaves her husband, Rufe Boone, of Caruthersville; A son, Bill Tinnon, of Arthur, Ill.; One daughter, Mrs. Peggy Hedge, of Houston, Texas; Five grandchildren; and Five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 7, 1989 at 2:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Funeral Home chapel in Caruthersville, with Rev. Jim Watkins officiating. Burial was at the Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville.
