Mrs. Boswell, 84, died May 31, 2000, of heart failure at King's Daughters Medical Center. She was born in Lincoln County on July 5, 1915, to Lucius Thompson and Letha Thames Thompson.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ernest Boswell; her son, Robert "Bob" Boswell; her brothers, Ernest, Alvin, Crawford and Henry Boswell; and her sister, Lois Smith.
Survivors are her son, Charles H. Boswell of McCall Creek; her daughter; Dorothy M. Sykes of Brookhaven; her brother, Mike Thompson of Brookhaven; her sisters, Gladys Jordan of Brookhaven, Hautie Lambert of Vidalia, La., and Mae Ard of Jayess; and eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
