Willie "Will" Owens, 69, who had lived in Hobbs for many years, died about 10 p.m. yesterday in Lea County Hospital in Hobbs. He was a retired contractor. He lived at 112 West Byers.
Will was orn May 6, 1891 in Decatur, Wise, Texas, USA.
Mr. Owens is survived by one son, J. W. Owens of Hobbs; one daughter, Mrs. Florence Owens; four brothers: Lee Owens and Frank Owens, both of Hobbs, J. B. Owens of El Centro, Calif. and Glenn Owens of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sisters: Mrs. J. Y. Hill of Maysville, Okla., and Mrs. Buel Hainey of Fort Worth, Tex.; ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
