ARAB - The Rev. Harvey L. McCrary, 55, of Rt. 5, Arab, died Thursday in a Birmingham hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church.

Burial was to be in the adjoining cemetery, Gober Funeral Home in charge. The Rev. John Hunt, the Rev. Frank Gwathney and the Rev. Junior Campbell were to officiate.

The Rev. McCrary previously served as pastor of New Cananna Baptist Church, Hopewell Baptist, Roswell Baptist, Mt. Hebron Baptist, Shady Grove Baptist, Shoal Creek Baptist and New Emos Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Flonnell McCrary; a daughter, Mrs. Vivian Conner, Arab; a son, Landon McCrary, Arab; his father, Luther McCrary, Hanceville; two brothers, Elton McCrary, Gardendale, and Roscoe McCrary, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Iva Lee Pitts, Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. Lois Cates, Hayden; a number of stepbrothers and stepsisters; and two grandchildren.
