Thomas was born in 1852 in Ohio. On January 4, 1880, he married Luella Boatman and they became parents of four children. Thomas was an early merchant in Glendale and later a freight contractor for the Hecla Con. Mining Co.

MARTIN - In Glendale, Montana, on Monday, Jan 16, 1888, after a short illness, of pneumonia, Thomas Martin, aged 37 years. -Deceased was well known in this section, and had been a resident of Glendale for a number of years. He was buried Tuesday by his brother Odd Fellows of Glendale.
