Roy M. Anderson, 53, of 19 Leonard Run, was found dead of carbon monoxide poisoning in his car about noon Sunday Sunday June 24th on an abandoned lease road two miles east of Tuna Cross Roads.
McKean County Coroner, Gale F. Hollenbeck, said death occurred on June 16 and issued a certificate of death by suicide.
He was born in 1919 in Cyclone, the son of Mrs. Clara Truesdal Anderson and the late Edwin S. Anderson. A life-long resident of the area, he had been an employee of Corning Glass Works. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Peter J. of Bradford, and Thomas J. Anderson of Coco Beach, Fla., a sister and two nieces.
The Hollenbeck Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements, where funeral services were held at the convenience of the family.
Burial was in McKean Park at Lafayette.
