Winona "Nona" Harvey Peagler, 93, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, widow of F. Marion Peagler, died Sunday afternoon at her residence.

Mrs. Peagler was born on November 28, 1928 at Cooper Store. She was the daughter of Norman L. and Cleo Hill Harvey. She and Marion were the proud parents of two daughters, Sandra Peagler Eley (deceased) and Mary Peagler Brown. In addition to her daughter Mary, Mrs. Peagler is survived by three grandchildren, Stephen Brown and his wife, Suzanne, Dena Mitchell and her husband, Chuck and Kevin Brown and his wife, B.J. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, Madison, Evan, Kamden and Nicholas. She very much enjoyed playing an active role in their lives, entertaining them with stories about growing up on a large working farm and the adventures she experienced in the process. She also leaves behind two sisters, Bennie Ordell and Pat Welch, as well as two brothers, Carroll H. "Buckshot" Harvey and Troy Harvey, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Peagler spent all of her professional career at Berkeley Electric Cooperative. Upon her retirement, she became more active in her church and community activities as well as assisting other individuals who were unable to drive to doctors' appointments. She found it very amusing that in her mid-80's she was driving people in their 70's to the doctor. She said, "it was interesting that, at all ages, God had a plan for all of us to help one another". She also did not forget her beloved Clemson Tigers. She watched the games with her daughter on TV which she once enjoyed attending for so many decades, cheering them on. Throughout her life, Mrs. Peagler always enjoyed traveling, be it with her husband or with her friends to various places throughout the world. In addition to a loving family, Mrs. Peagler was blessed with many wonderful friends who went out of their way to make her life enjoyable to the very end.

The family will receive friends at Dial-Murray Funeral Home from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Wednesday, July 27th. Her graveside service will be 4:00 PM Thursday afternoon, July 28, 2022, at Berkeley Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or the family suggests memorials be made to the Moncks Corner United Methodist Church, 106 Church St, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
