Marilyn F. Damaskos, (nee Fiene) on July 21, 2009.
She was born in Ballston Lake, NY on July 23, 1933 to the late Marcus and Clara (nee Engelking) Fiene. She received a B.S. from Case Western Reserve University in 1955 and her Masters in Chemistry in 1957. She also attended Neumann College Nursing Program where she received her Registered Nurse Degree in 1977. She has resided in Glen Mills, PA for the past 38 years and was formerly of Stamford, CT. She was employed as a Psychiatric Nurse at Fitzgerald MCMC, and was also associated with the Community Life Services of Delaware County. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, was politically active and enjoyed local politics, cofounder of a local book club, enjoyed playing bridge and was an accomplished musician - she enjoyed classical and jazz music.
She was the beloved wife of Nickander J. Damaskos of Glen Mills, PA; dear mother of Jennifer L. Revill of Middleton, MA, Nikki D. Owens of West Chester, PA, Diana D. Patille of Landenberg, PA, James E. Powel, Jr. of Carlisle, PA and Jenell Thompson of Sparta, MO; sister of Linda Wagner of Menlo Park, CA and Donald Fiene of Oakland, CA. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Friday evening July 24 from 7 -9 pm at the Cavanagh-Patterson Family Funeral Home, 43 E. Baltimore Ave., Media, PA. There will be a Graveside Service Saturday 10 am at the Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Winterthur Enchanted Garden Endowment Fund, Attn. Amy Hughes, c/o Winterthur Museum & Country Estate, Winterthur, DE 19735.
