Sherrie Sexton Black, 71, of Justin passed away Monday, July 13, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. She was born December 11, 1937 in Drop, TX to Dot Sexton, Sr. and Thelma Ofelia Grahm Sexton.
She retired from Texas Instruments and was a member of Justin Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 15, 2009 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 9 a.m. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Justin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Shrum, Terry North, Billy Parkus, David Sims, Bryon Hatfield and Ronny Simmons.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeannie Philippi of Justin and Velvet Rieves of Pritchett, TX; sons, Ricky Black of Ponder, David Black of Ponder, Ronald Black of Justin, John Black of Mobile, AL; sister, Jeanette Hathorn of Justin; brother, Dot Sexton, Jr. of English, TX; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
