HANOVER -- Grace Hatfield Cline, 86, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1998, at her home following a long illness. Mrs. Cline was a homemaker, a motel clerk, and was a member of the Baptist Church in Tallahassee, FL.

Born January 21, 1912, at North Spring, she was the daughter of the late Leander "Lee" Hatfield (1869-1944) and Margie Godfrey-Hatfield (1871-1959). She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennett Cline (1909-1969) whom she married on July 11, 1929 in Hanover, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1929, Page 55, Application Date: July 6, 1929); sons, Bennett Dale Cline (1956-1956) & Lawyer Lee Cline (1931-1933); six brothers, Robert "Bob" Epp Hatfield (1914-1967), Wayne Hatfield (Deceased), Armer "Loss" Hatfield (1897-1962), Jode Hatfield (Deceased), Ward Hatfield (Deceased), and Frank Bailey Hatfield (1896-1960); and three sisters, Allie Hatfield-Cline (1898-1985), Minnie Hatfield-Sauls (1900-1978), and Ina Myrtle Hatfield-Cline (1910-1988); and a grandson, Todd Cline (Deceased).

Survivors include two sons, Donald Ward Cline (1937-2013) of Iaeger and Randolph Scott Cline of Tallahassee, FL; six grandchildren, Gary Lee Cline of Arlington, VA, Sandy of Charleston, Brian Cline of Mooresville, NC, Craig Cline of Mooresville, NC, Tammy Cline of Tallahassee, FL, and Tonya Cline of Tallahassee, FL; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home, Iaeger, with the Revs. Ronnie Lester, and Arnold Harless officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny.
