Mrs Ada Belle Houchin died at 8pm at the Livingston county sanitarium in Pontiac, where she had been a patient the last two weeks. Mrs Houchin had been confined to her home there since last June. The funeral service will be held at 2pm Sunday from the Odell Methodist Episcopal church, the Rev T. Lee Knotts, pastor, conducting the service. Members of Charm Rebekah Lodge No. 442, I.O.O.F. , will meet at their hall and attend the funeral in a body. Burial will be in the Odell cemetery. Ada Belle Laymon, a daughter of David Sanford, and Mrs Julia Ellen (Francis) Laymon, was born March 6,1873 at Braceville. She moved to Odell with her parents when 12 years old. She was married to Francis Marion Houchin Dec 7,1892 in Odell. They moved to a farm in Esmen township where they resided until the year 1908, when they gave up farming on account of Mr Houchin's health and moved to Colorado Springs, Colo., where they resided until Mr Houchin died in 1909. Mrs Houchin brought her husband's body to Odell for burial and remained there. She is survived by one brother, Clanude E Laymon, of San Francisco, Calif., and four sisters, Mrs Bertha M Pullen, of Knoxville,Tenn.; Mrs Mary E Houchin, of Pontiac; Mrs Arta A Wilson, of Starbuck, Manitoba,Canada; and Mrs Maude McGreevy of Chicago. She was a member of the Odell Methodist Episcopal church, Happy Thought Sunday School class, and Charm Rebekah lodge No. 442, I.O.O.F. (Bloomington Pantagraph newspaper Sept 23,1934)
