SR. MARY CELESTINE CSSF - Mary Mysliwiec Felician Sisters Congregation. Beloved daughter of the late Sophie (Marek) and Simon; sister of the late Rev. Felix Mysliwiec, Glenn Milwick, Cecilia, Emily and Melanie Mysliwiec; also survived by nieces and nephews. Felician Sisters and family wil be present at the Villa Maria Provincial House on Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM and Wednesday 2-5 PM. An Evening Prayer Service will begin at 5 PM in the Sister's Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM. Memorials may be made to Villa Maria Convent, 600 Doat St. 14211. PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME.
She was 89.

Born Mary Mysliwiec in Buffalo, she entered the Immaculate Heart of Mary Province of the Felician Sisters in 1939 and professed perpetual vows in 1946.

She was a graduate of Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy and Mount St. Joseph Teachers College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in education.

Her first teaching assignment was at St. Adalbert School, where she spent nine years. She taught for six years in other Buffalo diocesan schools before moving to Utica to serve first as teacher, then principal of St. Stanislaus School.

Sister Mary Celestine also taught elementary grades in Immaculate Heart of Mary Home in Cheektowaga.

She began her involvement with the Cantalician Center in 1957, and from 1974 to 1995 she served at the center in a variety of capacities, including supervisor, assistant supervisor and coordinator.

She ministered as a home aide for fellow sisters in St. Felix of Cantalice Convent from 1995 until 1998, when she moved into Villa Maria infirmary.
