William Hume "Bill" Comer, 85, of 110 Lee Avenue in Elkton died Thursday, Dec 8, 2005, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.
Mr. Comer was born July 3, 1920, in Page County and was the son of the late Russell Hume and Anna May Kite Comer.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in the Military Police. He attended the Evangelical Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Shenandoah Moose Lodge, the Junior Order, and the Gooden Brothers VFW Post 9292. He was self-employed electrican and owned B&B Electric. He worked for the Town of Elkton after retiring.
His first wife, Anna Lee Morris Comer, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Neva Baugher Comer; two stepsons, Ishmael W Baugher II and Douglas A Baugher, Sr., both of Elkton; a sister Mary Lam of Elkton.
Five Stepgrandchildren and 11 Step-great grandchildren.
The Rev. Robert Buchanan will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Sunday at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
Burail will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
