Jane was born May 19, 1919, in Fort Worth. Her mother's family were Fort Worth pioneers, originally living in a cabin that had been a part of the old fort. Jane graduated from Paschal High School and attended Hendrix College in Conway, Ark., and Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. In 1939, she married Wayne Reynolds, a fledgling Methodist minister, and together they began their life of service. They served churches in Lake Worth, Mansfield, Grapevine, Weatherford, Waco and Ballinger, as well as the Cisco District and Wesleyan Homes in Georgetown.
Wayne preceded Jane in death in 1986, and in 1988 she married Ralph Temple of Cleburne. They enjoyed six delightful and devoted years of life together until Ralph's death in 1995. Since that time, Jane devoted herself to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, continuing to teach by word and example the life of faith and grace, which is her abiding gift to them and to everyone whose life was brightened by her presence and love.
Granddaughter Claire also preceded her Granny in death.
