ALTAMONT SERVICES TODAY WILL HONOR ROSEZELLA GOODRICH

Funeral services will be held Thursday (today) for RoseZella Hancock Goodrich at 1 p.m. at the Altamont Ward Chapel.

Mrs. Goodrich was born May 2, 1902 to Levison and Emily Almira Mangum Hancock in Green River, Utah. She married John Goodrich July 31, 1918 in Duchesne. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, June 27, 1969.

She moved to Bluebell when she was seven years old and has resided there since. She began her schooling at Roosevelt with Mary Orser and Effie Powell as her first teachers and she completed her education in Bluebell.

Mrs. Goodrich served as registration agent for 19 years in Bluebell. She was noted for making many beautiful quilts and was a superior housekeeper.

She sang at many funerals and special events. She and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1968. Present were all members of her family except, a grandchild, Keith Goodrich, who was serving in Korea at the time.

Survivors include her husband, Bluebell; sons and daughters, Lloyd John, Kenneth R. and Loren Dale.

Her parents are Emily Almira Mangum Hancock and Levison Hancock.

Married July 31, 1918 in Duchesne, Utah to John Goodrich. When John was twenty seven years old he married Rosezella Hancock in Duchesne, Duchesne, Utah on 31 July 1918. He had known her all of her life and he often mentioned having to raise her as she was only sixteen years of age when he married her.

To them were born the following children: Lloyd John, Everett H, Kenneth R., Carma Arlene, Loren Dale, Ardis Emily, Clyde H., and Carolyn LaRae.
