He was born on April 2, 1910 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Miles E. Miller and Ellis Bagley.
He married Elizabeth Mackay on September 1, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The ceremony was performed by President David O. McKay.
Irvine grew up in Salt Lake City, and attended Granite High School and was a member of the schools 1929 state championship basketball team. He worked for the Cudahy Packing Company in North Salt Lake for over 29 years. Then he later worked for the Davis County School System until his retirement in 1975.
He and his loving wife, Beth, served an LDS temple mission to Washington DC. He served as a ward clerk for many bishops including his own son, Mike.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Beth); four sons, Miles (Mike) (Suzanne), Kenneth (Barbara), Norman (Helen) and Brent (Marilyn); and one daughter, Lorena Bingham. Also, one sister, Viola Carlson of Bountiful, 21 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 1997 at 12 noon in the Bountiful Twenty-Seventh Ward Chapel, 1145 North 200 East, Bountiful. Friends may call on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, and again on Saturday morning from 10:45-11:45 a.m. at the Ward Chapel.
Interment-Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), East Millcreek.
