Irene (Mathews) Smith of Louisville, KY, formerly of Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Emmett Mathews; her parents, Ben and Belle Leamon Williams; one daughter, Dorothy Stogdill; one grandson, Jody Green; 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her husband, "Red" Smith; daughters, Lois Bowles (Jim) and Linda Green (George); step-children, Jo Maturano, Mark and Don Smith; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2009, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
