Flora native, Wilbur (Shorty) Glenn Curry, died Friday, Nov. 13, 1992 of a heart attack in Portland.

He was born June 27, 1923 in Flora. He lived and worked in Wallowa County until 1952 when he and his family moved to Umatilla County then to Beaverton in 1968 when his only granddaughter was born.

He married Erma Renfrow in Forest Grove.

Mr. Curry was a truck driver for over 40 years, first as a logger then longhaul. He retired Nov. 27, 1991, from Fred Meyer Company.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Pendleton and a member of the Teamsters Union.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Erma of Beaverton; daughter, Nona Wasson of Portland; granddaughter, Shannon Wasson of Portland; brothers, Alex Curry of Burmingham, AL, Delbert (Bus) Curry of Georgetown, Calif., and Maurice (Bud) Curry of Redwood City, Calif.; sisters, Elenor Butner, Enterprise, Lydia Murray of Salem, Mariam Hayward of Lewisotn, Idaho and Kathleen Norbeck of Moscow, Idaho; and parents-in-law, Frank and Gertrude Renfrow of Enterprise.

Memorial services will be held Friday, Nov.20, at 11:30 a.m. at Finley's Sunset Hills Mortuary, 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, in Beaverton. Memorials in his memory may be made to the charity of choice.
