The family of the late Dale E. Larsen (1928-2009) has planned a funeral Mass that will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at St. Thomas Aquinas, 2210 Lincoln Way, Ames, (515) 292-3810. Dale passed away on March 2, 2009, after a long battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. Dale's funeral was delayed because the family is coming from North Carolina, Georgia and Heidleberg, Germany, to honor his life. Following the Mass a light lunch will be served at the church. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at the Wyoming Cemetery on Highway 136, just north of Wyoming, Iowa 52362. Memorials may be directed to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, nmss.org. The family is grateful for all memorials that have already been received.
