Ralph E. Billsborough, 85, died December 30, 2007 at the Corry Manor.Born March 17, 1920, he was the son of the late Frank E. and Lillian Mae (Green) Billsborough. He is the last of his family.Corporal Billsborough was a World War II Veteran and was awarded the Silver Star for saving Albert Griffen's life.He retired from the Union City Chair Co. after 22 years of service.He was a lifetime member of the Union City Volunteer Fire Department, past member of the Union City Fire Police; lifetime member of the American Legion Lebaron Post 237, Union City and the V.F.W
Post 15040 Member at Large, PA. He loved gardening and
hunting.He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Norma A. Satterlee Billsborough (1985), an infant daughter, Allene (1949), his father (1956), his mother (1970), a sister, Cecil Lindell (1971) and five brothers, Harry (1903), Jessie (1982), Charles (1965), Raymond (1926), and Howard Billsborough (1985).
He is survived by three children, Paul E. Billsborough and wife, Linda, of Belton, TX, Phillip L. Billsborough and wife, Mary, of Corry, PA, and Alice A. (Billsborough) Barton and husband, Don, of Kingsland, TX; three grandsons, five great-grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and a close friend, Florence Bates of Springcreek, PA.
