Many old friends at this place were grieved last week to hear of the death of Lafayette Brewster which occurred at his home in Prairie Grove Friday after an illness of about ten days. Mr. Brewster was long a resident on his farm near Cane Hill but on account of advanced age went to Prairie Grove a few months ago to make his home. He was a man of sterling worth and possessed many friends. He leaves a wife and a number of children, all grown. The body was laid to rest near the old home at Cane Hill Saturday.
