George and Julia first settled in Elwood Twp., Vermilion Co., IL, where they had four children. However, by 1900 they had migrated to the Southwest and settled in the small town of Almeda in Southwestern Harris Co., Texas. They farmed in that area and lived there the remaining years of their lives. Julia died in Almeda, Harris Co., TX.
