Charles was born in Bozeman, MT and wasthe only son of Charles and Mary ARnold Waterman. He and his three sisters attended Bozeman schools and in 1922 graduated from Gallatin Co High School with his cousin William McDonnell.

From 1922-26 he attended Montana State University at Bozeman, majoring in accounting. After graduation he became an accountant in the area. Charles remained at home taking care of both of his parents, after his sisters married and moved to to CA and other parts of the city.

During World War II he was part of the National Guard stationed in the Gallatin Valley location.

After his father's death in 1945, he left the care of his mother to his sister Edith, and moved to Boise, ID where he continued in accouunting. He stayed there during the 50s and 60s and sometime during the 60s, moved to San Fransisco,CA where he died in 1971.

Uncle Charlie, as he was known to us great neices and nephews, would come down to visit relatives in So CA and always had stories to tell. Some true and some...well...not so true... but there was always laughter when he was around.
