HENRY HOOD, Henry Hood, 93-year-old Vinitan, passed away Thursday afternoon in a local nursing home. Born Oct. 15, 1881, in Rolla, Mo., he was married to Edith Inman on Jan. 1, 1905, in Salem, Mo. He came to Vinita in 1909. Mrs. Hood died in 1968. Mr. Hood was a retired carpenter and farmer and held membership in the Southside Church of Christ. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Elsie Byrd, Grantie City, Ill., Mrs. Elizabeth Strickland, Bakersfield, Calif., and Mrs. Jeanette Lomax, 338 S. Scraper St.; a sister, Mrs. Sidney Barrow, Wood River, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Mr. __y Miller officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Service of Vinita.
